Dr. De Carvalho is now offering outpatient opioid treatments with Suboxone. Have you ever wondered, “Is there a drug that can help me stop taking Percocet, Lortab, Oxycodone, Oxycontin or even heroine?”, or “Where can I find Suboxone information?”, Dr. De Carvalho is able to help you obtain the information that you need. He is a physician with specialized training in the usage of Suboxone to treat opioid addiction. If you are already on Suboxone (buprenorphine / naloxone) maintenance, Dr.De Carvalho can continue your treatment as well.
Suboxone (buprenorphine / naloxone) is a medication approved for the office based treatment of opiate and opioid addictions. Suboxone can be thought of as a much safer, more convenient, and discreet alternative to methadone maintenance. Patients receive a prescription which can be filled at any pharmacy just like other types of medications. In Suboxone (buprenorphine / naloxone) maintenance, the medication is taken at home as a daily dose in place of the opiate or opioid being abused. A stable dose is maintained without having to worry about any withdrawal symptoms or tolerance, increasing dosages to obtain the same effect, that can occur with other opioid medications.
On the other hand, some patients choose to not go on maintenance. Their goal is to do a medical detox off of their opioid medications or heroin and remain opioid or opiate free. If this is something you are interested in then a customized treatment plan is available.
